A year ago, I thought I had finished the hardest chapter of my life.
After surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation for triple negative breast cancer, I hoped I could begin rebuilding my life. Instead, I recently learned that my cancer has returned, and my medical team is working to determine the full extent of the recurrence.
Like so many people facing cancer, I never imagined I would need to ask for help. Asking is one of the hardest things I've ever done.
The months ahead will include appointments, biopsies, scans, treatment decisions, and travel to receive the best care possible. Every dollar donated will help cover medical expenses, transportation, lodging when necessary, lost wages, groceries, and other everyday costs that don't stop just because cancer comes back.
