At 89 years old, my aunt has spent more than 50 years in the only home she has ever truly called her own. It is where she and her late husband built a life together, raised a family, welcomed friends, and made countless treasured memories.

Recently, she faced a major challenge when her home's foundation began to sag. Determined to preserve the home she loves, she used the savings she had to make the necessary foundation repairs. While those repairs were essential, they left her with virtually no financial cushion.

Now she has been faced with another unexpected hardship. Her entire HVAC system has failed, including the duct work. Without a working heating and air system, staying comfortable—and safe—through the changing seasons has become a real concern.

Thanks to the kindness of a longtime family friend who owns his own heating and air company, she has been given an incredible opportunity. He is providing a brand-new HVAC system and duct work at a greatly reduced cost. The total project is approximately $10,000.

My aunt has managed to scrape together $5,000 on her own, but she still needs to raise the remaining $5,000 to complete the installation.

If you know my aunt, you know she is one of the most giving people you'll ever meet. She has been a faithful member of City Church and, for the past 20+ years, has lovingly served in The Cove preschool ministry, caring for and teaching 4-year-olds. Her faith is the foundation of her life, and she has quietly blessed so many families through her kindness and servant's heart.

When she's not serving at church, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, participating in CBS Bible Study, and caring for her beautiful flowers.

She has always been someone who gives rather than asks. Today, we're asking on her behalf.
