On September 12th while camping in Wyoming my husband tried to kill me by pressure strangulation. He was arrested and held on bail for two weeks. While incarcerated he signed over power of attorney to his father who emptied our joint checking account and closed our joint money market account. This act is just another form of abuse! He does not want me to be able to defend myself in a court of law.  

Divorce Attorneys are very expensive and with his criminal history which I was unaware of and his parents more than willing to continue to enable him this process is going to be very long, tedious and emotionally taxing (as if him trying to kill me has not already been draining.)

Any help is welcome! I've come to learn that I am not the first; he has battered and abused two of his previous partners and who knows how many others.
