For over 20 years, I enjoyed a successful career as a medical assistant. I was independent, financially stable, and proud of the work I loved.

My life changed after a series of serious medical emergencies, including a broken ankle, fluid in my lungs, and an unexpected heart condition. I initially planned to be off work for one year, but complications extended my absence to four years. I also endured cervical radiculopathy, severe neck, head, and shoulder pain, debilitating migraines, cataracts, and carpal tunnel syndrome requiring surgery on both wrists and elbows.

I have finally been medically cleared to return to full-time work, but my current employer drastically reduced my hours, leaving me unable to recover financially. I am now facing eviction, behind on rent and electricity, and struggling to keep a roof over my head.

I have no children, but I have a beloved dog who depends on me. My 22-year-old car needs new tires, and I need help with a down payment on a reliable vehicle so I can get to work and medical appointments.

I am asking for help to prevent eviction, keep my home, and regain my independence. Donations will help me catch up on rent and utilities and secure reliable transportation while I work to rebuild my life.

Asking for help is not easy after a lifetime of hard work and self-sufficiency. I am determined to return to stable employment and create a fresh start.
