Acerca de esta recaudación

Over the last six years, our mother Kelly has faced a series of complicated medical conditions that have changed her life in unimaginable ways. Many of the treatments she needs are new and experimental, which means insurance doesn’t cover them. She has had to pay for these treatments out of her own life savings, and that account has dwindled rapidly as she continues to fight for her health.

The funds raised here will help our mom travel to Tennessee for Habitats Optimizing Plasma Exchange or, if necessary, to Japan for DFPP. Every dollar will go directly toward the cost of her treatment, giving her a chance at the care she desperately needs.

Our mom used to be the strongest, most loving person we knew. She was always there—showing up, caring for others, and living life fully. That all changed after she became seriously ill. Following her COVID vaccinations and infections in 2021 and a booster in 2022, her health began to decline in ways we never could have imagined. What started as unexplained symptoms turned into something devastating. She suffered pulmonary embolisms, later experienced a stroke, and has now been diagnosed with severe ME/CFS and adrenal insufficiency. Today, she is mostly bedbound. Simple things many people take for granted—getting out of bed, taking a shower, holding a conversation—can leave her completely drained for days. The exhaustion she lives with isn’t just “being tired.” It’s a crushing, full-body shutdown that takes everything from her. She misses out on life, on family moments, on being the mom she so desperately wants to be. And we miss her too.

We are doing everything we can to help her get better, but treatment for ME/CFS is complex, ongoing, and often not covered by insurance. Specialists, medications, therapies, and supportive care come with overwhelming costs. That’s why we are asking for help. If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send support, it truly means the world to us. Every contribution brings us one step closer to getting her the care she needs and, we hope, a piece of her life back. Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for helping us hold onto hope.  Thank you all so very much!  Much Gratitude~Kailey, Jason, Jackson and Justin
