My name is Mark Hendon. 

After two heart attacks, I went to the ER to be told my blood sugar and pressure were off the charts, so I was admitted. Angiogram discovered blockages unable to be remedied by angioplasty so open heart surgery was needed.  It ended up that a QUADRUPLE BYPASS WAS REQUIRED NOT A TRIPLE BYPASS.  I've been hospitalized 15 days to date, 7 days and counting in the ICU.  Post operative pneumonia and ileus have complicated recovery. Having been laid off in March 2026, I had secured employment at HEB in Denton to begin the same day as my open heart surgery so I had to resign leaving me without the benefits package that was promised to begin day one of employment (so uninsured). I'm 61 years old, unable to work through what looks to be a long recovery and ability to work again full time is unlikely.  I've applied for disability and any program suggested but I desperately need immediate assistance for prescriptions, medical equipment, and daily expenses until assistance can be arranged.
