Help Bring the Joy of Music to Every Child
Music is so much more than learning songs—it's a powerful tool for developing language, coordination, creativity, confidence, emotional regulation, and social skills.
At Davis Performing Arts Studios, I'm expanding my program to offer hands-on music exploration classes for homeschool families and young children. These classes will introduce students to rhythm, melody, movement, improvisation, and instrument exploration in an engaging, developmentally appropriate environment.
To make this vision possible, I'm raising funds to purchase a classroom set of general music instruments, including:
Rhythm sticks
Egg shakers and maracas
Hand drums
Boomwhackers
Xylophones and metallophones
Glockenspiels
Tambourines
Scarves and movement props
Classroom percussion instruments
Storage and organization materials
These instruments will allow children to experience music through active participation—not just watching, but creating, moving, playing, and discovering.
As a certified K–12 music educator with over 12 years of teaching experience, an adjunct professor in Music Education at Graceland University, and a graduate music therapy clinician at UMKC, I am passionate about creating meaningful musical experiences that support every child's growth.
Every contribution—large or small—helps place an instrument into a child's hands and creates opportunities for joyful, high-quality music education in our community.
Thank you for believing in the power of music and investing in the next generation of musicians, learners, and creative thinkers. Together, we can build a classroom where every child has the opportunity to sing, move, play, create, and thrive.
