  • Rejoice the Fistula Is Closed!

After 198 days of having an open fistula in my stomach, it is finally closed! Surgeries 4 and 5 worked, and being put on TPN has greatly helped. Nutrition is so important to the healing process!
While my fistula is starting to heal, I still have a long way to go before I am back to "stable health," even though I am looking and feeling a bit better each day, which I am so thankful for.
Medical bills keep coming as we continue to keep me on TPN and small amounts of tube feeds, trying to work towards getting off TPN and back on full tube feeds, but my GI system is very messed up and not accepting a lot of tube feeds recently, and in order to continue to heal, full nutrition is essential.

I would appreciate prayers for continued nutrition and healing, as well as for pain relief. My neck and lower back have been very painful recently.

I appreciate everyone who has prayed for me, made a donation, or bought something off one of my wish lists. You all have been such a blessing on this rough journey!

Acerca de esta recaudación

I have been in and out of the hospital since September, and the bills and expenses keep racking up. The gas expenses on credit cards from traveling to medical appointments, and now, since my van had a very unexpected repair that was necessary, which is going to cost $4,000. My van is how I get to medical appointments and school because it is an adapted, wheelchair-accessible van, so I can use my power wheelchair.

I have additional surgeries in the future, and I have to meet $4,000 with my insurance to get total coverage for everything. I still have to pay for gas, and when my mom stays with me, she needs food, which can become very expensive as well.

My goal of 10,000 will cover what I owe from last year, my van repairs, the health insurance costs I have already racked up this year, and pay off the gas charges from my December-January hospital admission. Leaving me with $500 to put towards upcoming travel for medical appointments and gas.

Anything is helpful!
