Acerca de esta recaudación

One month ago, I was involved in a devastating truck accident that completely totaled my vehicle. The impact was on the driver’s side, and I suffered a serious shoulder injury. Despite the pain and my doctor’s concerns, I returned to work just one week later because I had bills to pay and responsibilities that couldn’t wait.

Without a vehicle, getting to work became a daily challenge. I walked whenever I had to, and on the days I could, I relied on a bicycle. I didn’t ask anyone for help because I’ve always believed in standing on my own two feet and doing whatever it takes to provide for myself.

Two days ago, while riding my bike to work, I began experiencing severe cramping before collapsing on the side of the road. I was taken to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed me with elevated serum creatinine, elevated creatine kinase (CK), severe dehydration, and acute kidney injury (AKI). They told me that continuing physical labor could cause further damage to my kidneys and advised me to avoid strenuous work and prolonged time in the sun while I recover.

I tried to return to work the very next day because I simply cannot afford not to work. Unfortunately, I became lightheaded and dizzy and didn’t have the strength to continue. I had no choice but to leave the job site and find shelter.

For the first time in my life, I am in a position where determination alone isn’t enough. Right now, I cannot do the only kind of work I know how to do. Without reliable transportation and without the ability to earn an income while I recover, I am facing mounting medical bills, everyday living expenses, and the possibility of falling even further behind.

Asking for help is not easy for me. I’ve always tried to handle life’s challenges on my own, but this situation has shown me that sometimes we all need a helping hand. If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it will go directly toward medical expenses, transportation, rent, utilities, groceries, and other essential bills while I focus on healing and getting back on my feet.

If you’re unable to give, sharing my fundraiser would mean just as much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your kindness, and for any support you can offer. I truly believe that no one should have to face life’s hardest moments alone, and I’m grateful for anyone willing to help me through this one.
