On May 24, 2026, our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Marlin Elmer Martinez, passed away at the age of 77.

Marlin was a man with a heart of gold whose greatest joy was his family. He was the person everyone called when something needed fixing, when advice was needed, or when a helping hand was required. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether he was fishing, visiting with neighbors, or enjoying his favorite snack of peanut butter and bananas, he brought warmth and kindness wherever he went.

This fundraiser is being shared by his family to help with the unexpected funeral expenses and to honor Marlin’s memory. He touched countless lives through his generosity, compassion, and willingness to help anyone in need, and we are grateful for the support of friends, family, and community members during this difficult time.

His passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his wife, Olga, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him.

To give our father the farewell he deserved, we  covered the funeral expenses upfront. The total cost of the funeral was $15,000, creating a significant financial burden during a time when the family is focused on grieving and supporting one another.
