Our mom, Debbie Sherod, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 9th, 2023. She did not leave behind any money or insurance to cover funeral costs. We are asking for donations to help cover these costs, and to build a modest memorial in her name on the family farm in Greenbank. We want to honor her memory as best we can, and thank you for your support. 

After recouping the initial funeral costs, any additional money we raise will be used to landscape a section of forest at the Sherod Wood Farm, where Debbie has lived since 2003, as “Debbie's Hollow.” Our goal is to clean up the blackberries that have taken over the woods, clear some trees, and install some small pathways and meditative spaces that Debbie would have loved. We plan to purchase a stone bench to serve as her memorial, and spread some of her ashes in the roots of a new sapling that will live on in her memory. 

Mom always loved this section of forest, which divides the main house from the barns down the hill, but it has gotten out of hand in the last few years and we've love to restore it for her.
