I DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP!  
 

I administered medicine I received from the vet but before doing so I called them because the medicine did not look like previous prescriptions I received they told me that they shop around but it was ok ultimately I gave it to my dog and he started a light shaking immediately after.  However as the day progressed he seemed to be ok that night he was fussy but not that was alarming.  The following morning he went for his walk as usual and an hour or so later he started whining crying and licking his lips which indicated distress I immediately took him to the emergency vet clinic I arrived at 10am but was not seen until about 4 or 5pm by that time I was begging to be seen because I witness his health declining rapidly he walked in and then at that point was not able to stand.  I told the doctor I suspect there was something wrong with the medicine and she told me that it would take hours for there to be an effect on him. I told her that sometimes the onset is different from person to person or in this case animal to animal (he was a little over 5lbs).  I called that night around 11pm and that told me he was fine and that he was resting.  The next morning I called because I had not heard from them and the nurse Maggie said that he walked a little and urinated and that the doctor will call me when she did her rounds.  I got a call almost an hour later from the doctor saying that my dog was low and may not make it.  I immediately questioned what I was told a short time before by the nurse she was stumbling over her explanation as to what I was told previous to her call.  She then said maybe he got into something like garbage and came in contact with rat poison, my dog is never on the floor or unattended so that was highly unlikely.  I told her my concern when I initially spoke to the first doctor that administered him.  The entire time they were not treating him for poisoning but for pancreatitis.  My dog subsequently passed away, when I arrived before he died he was bobbing his head and dying before my eyes they did nothing it was horrific.  I was charged almost $5000, luckily the insurance paid most of it.  I did leave initially an almost $3000 deposit and was refunded a little over $1300.  Pancreatitis and poisoning have similar traits however blood testing and other testing set the two apart and what I said earlier about the pill I gave him would have differentiated between the two.
