Our Story: A Family Journey With Purpose
As Mrs. Elite Lone Star State, I am incredibly honored to represent Texas at the United USA National Pageant in Daytona Beach, Florida, in June 2027. This opportunity represents years of dedication, personal growth, leadership, and community service. However, what makes this journey truly special is sharing it with my two children, Princess Zoey Valadez and Prince Christian Valadez.
Together, we are pursuing something much greater than three crowns. We are building memories, strengthening our family bond, and demonstrating that dreams are worth pursuing regardless of the challenges we may face.
Our family has set a fundraising goal of $15,000 to help cover the expenses associated with preparing for and attending Nationals. We are asking our family, friends, businesses, and community supporters to become part of this unforgettable journey.
Every contribution brings us closer to representing Texas together on the national stage.
My Legacy Platform: Captains of Character
Building Tomorrow's Leaders Through Cheer and Community Outreach
My legacy platform, Captains of Character, was inspired by my lifelong passion for cheerleading, mentorship, youth development, and community service.
As a former cheerleader, lifelong dancer, and current youth cheer director, I have witnessed how participation in youth sports can positively influence a child's confidence, character, and leadership abilities.
Cheerleading is about more than performing routines, wearing uniforms, or winning competitions. It teaches responsibility, discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and the importance of encouraging others.
My platform focuses on three guiding principles:
SERVE — RISE — INSPIRE
SERVE: Encouraging children to give back through community outreach, volunteer opportunities, and acts of kindness.
RISE: Teaching young athletes to overcome challenges, build confidence, demonstrate resilience, and believe in their abilities.
INSPIRE: Developing future leaders through mentorship, positive role modeling, public speaking, and opportunities to demonstrate leadership.
My mission is to ensure that every child understands their potential to make a difference, regardless of their age or background.
Zoey and Christian: Growing Through Captains of Character
One of the most meaningful aspects of my platform is that both of my children, Zoey and Christian, are participants in the Captains of Character program.
They are not simply watching their mother advocate for youth leadership. They are actively involved in the same mission I am passionate about sharing with others.
Through cheerleading, team participation, mentorship, and community activities, they are learning valuable lessons about responsibility, teamwork, kindness, commitment, and serving others.
As a mother, I want my children to understand that leadership is not defined by a crown, title, or position. True leadership is demonstrated through everyday decisions, how we treat people, and our willingness to help others succeed.
Watching Zoey and Christian grow through these experiences reminds me why I created Captains of Character.
Their participation also reinforces an important message: Our children do not have to wait until adulthood to become leaders. They can begin making a difference today.
By participating in this national pageant journey, they will have an opportunity to continue developing their confidence, communication skills, and understanding of what it means to represent something greater than themselves.
The Personal Meaning Behind My Mission
My passion for developing confident young leaders comes from personal experience.
As a freshman in high school, I experienced the disappointment of not making the cheerleading team. Rather than allowing that setback to discourage me permanently, I spent the following year improving my skills and preparing for another opportunity.
The next year, I made the team.
That experience taught me that rejection does not determine our future. Our determination, attitude, and willingness to keep trying can change our story.
Today, I share that lesson with the young athletes I mentor, including my own children.
I want them to know that setbacks are temporary, confidence is developed through experience, and success requires commitment.
Most importantly, I want them to understand that their value is never determined by a trophy, crown, or competition result.
Why We Are Raising $15,000
Preparing three titleholders for the national stage requires significant planning and financial resources.
Our $15,000 fundraising campaign will help cover national pageant expenses, competition wardrobes, formal gowns and suits, hair and makeup, travel, lodging, meals, transportation, accessories, and other necessary preparations.
Traveling from Texas to Daytona Beach with three participants and multiple wardrobe changes creates additional logistical and financial responsibilities.
Although these expenses continue to grow, I remain determined to make this experience possible for my children and myself.
We welcome monetary donations, corporate sponsorships, in-kind contributions, and community fundraising partnerships.
Whether someone contributes $5, $25, $100, or becomes a major sponsor, every gift matters.
No contribution is too small, and every act of generosity helps move us closer to our goal.
Your Support Creates a Lasting Impact
When you support our journey, you are doing more than helping three individuals attend a national pageant.
You are supporting a mother who believes in leading by example and two children who are learning the importance of perseverance, community involvement, and pursuing meaningful goals.
You are also supporting the values behind Captains of Character and helping bring greater awareness to the importance of youth mentorship and leadership development.
My vision is to continue expanding this platform through partnerships with schools, youth sports organizations, businesses, and community leaders.
I want to create additional opportunities for children to develop leadership skills, participate in community service, and discover the confidence to pursue their dreams.
The national pageant provides an opportunity to share that message with a broader audience.
Our Legacy Is Bigger Than the Crown
When Zoey, Christian, and I look back on this journey, I hope we remember more than the beautiful outfits, photographs, and excitement of competition.
I want us to remember the challenges we overcame, the people who supported us, and the importance of believing in something even when achieving it requires sacrifice.
I want my children to understand that success is not always measured by winning. Sometimes the greatest victory is having the courage to pursue a dream and inspiring someone else along the way.
Our journey represents family, leadership, resilience, and service.
Three Crowns. One Family. One Dream. One Lasting Legacy.
Thank you for believing in Crystal, Princess Zoey, and Prince Christian. Your generosity, encouragement, and support mean more than words can express.
Together, we can turn this dream into a reality while continuing to SERVE with purpose, RISE with confidence, and INSPIRE future leaders.
With love and sincere appreciation,
Crystal Lomax
