I am writing to you today with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit to share the journey my husband, Robert Dismukes, is currently navigating. As many of you know, Robert had an infection that cause him to lose the use of his legs. 

Living with paraplegia is a lifelong commitment that comes with constant, high-cost needs. Between ongoing medical treatments, specialized physical therapy, necessary home modifications, and the  out-of-pocket costs for essential equipment and daily care, the expenses will be more than insurance will pay.
