I’m a 72 year-old elderly woman that is asking for help. I’m going to be evicted from my home that I lived for 25 years and I can’t become homeless, it will devastate me. I’ve worked my entire life as a Registered Nurse caring for others. I’m known for my huge heart and selflessness anyone that knows me knows that I am a fighter, but this seems like the biggest fight ever.  I feel helpless in this situation every time.  I raise concerns to the people that are supposed to fix the repairs in my home due to floods from the roof and my two by fours in my walls are rotten and mildew infested. I raise concerns to the people that are supposed to fix my unit and they never addressed it. I can’t give up. I need help. The unhealthy environment is causing me to stay and be admitted into the hospital. I had to have major surgery due to the environment not being safe mold infested, walls have been removed,  ceilings, and electricity is all gone. I am now in rehab and can’t go home due to my unhealthy environment .I feel like it’s elderly abuse and they’re not paying attention because I’m an older female. They have failed to uphold their responsibility in taking care of my unit, not caring about what it has done to me. I can’t return to the environment and I am at risk of becoming homeless. I’ve dedicated myself for years and now I need help. small amount is appreciated.
