A month ago, I unexpectedly lost my job. My wife and I did everything we could to keep up with our bills, but despite our best efforts, we fell behind on rent. A week ago, we lost our apartment after being evicted.
This has been one of the most difficult times of our lives, and asking for help is not something that comes easily. We have always tried to make things work but this time is different.
Thankfully, things are beginning to improve. My wife has been working at her new job for almost two months, and I start my new job this week. While we’re both employed now, losing our home has left us without the money needed for a security deposit, first month’s rent, application fees, and other move-in expenses.
We’re hoping to raise $5500 to help us move into a new apartment and finally have a safe, stable place to call home again. Every dollar will go directly toward securing housing and helping us rebuild after this unexpected setback.
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small, and every contribution brings us one step closer to having a place to call home. If you’re not able to donate, sharing our fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us during this difficult chapter. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean more to us than words can express. We are hopeful that, with your support and our new jobs, we can put this behind us and start over. This is not something we would normally do but at this point we need to at least try & better our situation.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Tarrance’s.
