I inherited a townhouse from my father he recently passed.  He hadn't lived in this house for years but the damage occurred when he was here and he never wanted to address the problems so now.  He left the house to me….  Now I have not just water damage but what looks to be mold from where there is a hole in the ceiling the smoke detector are all pulled out / out dated some switches don't work i think the house might need to be gutted and redone.

My mother's husband = stepdad recently passed and she doesn't have a place to live. I'm Trying to pay bills and be my mother's provider.
