Allie is a single mom of 2 boys who is currently facing an unexpected and sudden health crisis. She has been diagnosed with psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES). These episodes have made it unsafe to be alone with her boys and have left her unable to drive or work for an unknown amount of time.

The hardest part is the uncertainty. We don't know exactly how long this season will last and stability can return. What we do know is that Allie’s body needs time, care, and rest instead of continuing to push through. As a single mom, the everyday needs of raising her children are her top priority, and this stress is a trigger for her seizures.

Asking for help is incredibly difficult for her. She is used to being the one who keeps going, figures things out, and takes care of everyone else. Right now, she’s learning that sometimes strength means allowing other people to help carry you when you simply can't carry everything yourself.
