Maribel is an animal rescuer in Naco, Sonora.  She has dedicated her life to helping animals on the streets of Agua Prieta and Naco, Sonora, saving countless lives. Purple Sky Street Dog Alliance has been working with her for more than a year now. We have helped her by providing food, medicines, and vet care for the dogs she rescues. She has been wonderful to work with and puts her whole heart into caring for them. 

But we are troubled by the fact that although we are able to help care for her dogs, Maribel herself lives in extreme poverty. Her home does not have a complete roof; it lacks windows or doors, nor does it have plumbing or running water. We have sought out help for her locally with little success. We feel that if we can help finish her house so that it has the basic necessities we all take for granted, it would make a HUGE difference in her quality of life.

We are hoping our rescue friends can help us raise the funds for her. We realize this is a lot of money, more than we have ever needed to raise, but at the same time it is less than what is frequently spent on vet bills for a single dog in the US. Maribel is a beautiful, kind-hearted person who deserves better.
