Hi everyone,

My name is Joana. I am a college student working hard to balance my academics and my job, and I am reaching out to my community today for help with a major hurdle: securing reliable transportation.

The funds from this campaign will benefit me directly by allowing me to commute between my college classes and my job. Right now, managing my schedule without a vehicle is incredibly challenging, and having a reliable car will allow me to keep up with my shifts, stay on top of my studies, and remain financially independent. 

Every dollar raised will go toward getting me on the road. Specifically, the funds will be used for: purchasing a modest, reliable used car, covering initial registration, taxes, and DMV fees and helping cover the first couple of months of car insurance to ensure I start off on the right foot. 

I am hoping to raise these funds as soon as possible. My current transportation situation makes it difficult to maintain my work schedule, so the sooner I can secure a vehicle, the sooner I can ensure my employment and schedule stay stable. 

Having a car is about so much more than just a convenience for me, it is the key to my future. It means being able to show up to work on time, keep pursuing my long-term academic and career goals, and relieve the daily stress of wondering how I am going to get from point A to point B. It represents stability and the ability to keep moving forward.
