À propos de cette collecte de fonds

If you know me,  I am not one that asks for help.   I am always the one that tries to help everyone else.  But at this point I have no choice but to ask for myself.

Due to a medical condition that my husband had for 10 years, before.being diagnosed, it has taken a toll on his health and he has been unable to work as much as he used to.  He's gone from working 60-80 hours a week 4 years ago, to 2-3 days a week at the most.  He doctors out of the Cleveland Clinic and we have to make frequent trips, so needless to say, those trips, along with a huge decrease in income, we have completely depleted all our savings.  He is trying to hang on until February to take early retirement.  But that's quite a few months.

I work a full time job as well, but in June of this year, I fell and had some major damage done to my knee.  I've had surgery, followed all the instructions I've been given by my physicians, and am STILL unable to go back to work.  I will, however, be able to in the future, but this kind of damage is something that heals slowly.  I've had to take FMLA for a short period of time, so I currently have NO income at all from my employer.

As hard as we've tried to keep up with bills, mortgage, expenses of trips to Cleveland, and medicines, we haven't been able to do so successfully.  And now, my refrigerator seems to be trying to go out.  As the old saying goes, “when it rains, it pours”.

To say I'm embarrassed to have to ask for a hand up is an understatement.  However, any help we can get is deeply appreciated.

Thank you, and God bless.
