Help Us Bring Healthcare Where It’s Needed Most

We are a team of medical professionals traveling to remote communities in Guatemala to provide medical care, women’s health services, education, training, medications, and medical supplies to people who may have very limited access to healthcare.

Our focus includes young women and women’s health, as well as newborn care. We also provide Helping Babies Breathe training, equipping local birth attendants and healthcare workers with skills that can save a newborn’s life in those critical first moments after birth.

The need is significant. Guatemala’s under-five mortality rate is about 21 deaths per 1,000 live births, and UNICEF reports that only 8% of newborns had contact with a health provider within two days of birth in the latest available data. (UNICEF DATA⁠)

But our mission is about more than one trip. We partner with a local foundation that remains in the community year-round, helping continue education, training, and support after our team returns home. Our goal is to build sustainable local teams and reach communities that are often difficult to access.
