  • Countdown to surgery

Hello family, friends, and everyone who has continued to walk this journey with me.
I honestly don’t even know how to put everything I’m feeling into words right now.
This Friday, October 2, is surgery day. Before I get there, I have to go through another biopsy because a new mass was found on my right side. And if I’m being completely honest, I’m scared. I’m trying to stay positive, trying to stay in faith, and trying not to let my mind go to the darkest places — but some moments are harder than others.
I keep praying that this new mass is benign. I’m praying for good news. I’m praying that Friday goes the way we’re hoping it will. But there’s a part of me that is just tired of hearing the words biopsy, surgery, cancer, and unknown.
I never imagined I would have to be this strong.
There are days when I cry. Days when I’m angry. Days when I wonder, “Why me?” And there are days when I don’t want to talk about cancer at all. I just want to feel normal again. I want to wake up and not immediately think about appointments, test results, surgery, or what comes next.
But then I look at my children.
And that is where I find something in me that I didn’t know was there.
I want to be here for them. I want to watch them grow. I want to see their milestones, hear their laughter, make memories, and be their mom for as many years as God allows me to be.
That is what keeps me going when I’m scared.
I don’t have all the answers. I don’t know what Friday will bring. And honestly, I’m learning that being hopeful doesn’t mean I’m never afraid. It means I can be afraid and still choose to keep going.
So right now, I’m taking this one moment, one breath, one prayer, and one day at a time.
I’m asking God for healing. I’m asking for strength. I’m asking for a benign biopsy and a successful surgery. And I’m asking Him to carry me through the moments when I simply don’t have the strength to carry myself.
To everyone who has prayed for me, cried with me, checked on me, encouraged me, loved me, and stood beside me — thank you. I feel your prayers, even on the days when I don’t have the words to respond.
    I’m scared.
    I’m tired.
    I’m emotional.
    But I’m still here.
    And I’m still fighting. ❤️‍🩹🙏🏽

À propos de cette collecte de fonds

Caresse's life changed unexpectedly when she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer while four months pregnant in January 2026. Throughout her pregnancy, she showed incredible strength and resilience, undergoing chemotherapy while carrying her baby. Despite the challenges she faced, she recently welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world.

Now, Caresse is preparing for the next phase of her fight against cancer. In the coming months, she will continue chemotherapy, undergo radiation treatments, and face a double mastectomy. As she focuses on her health and recovery, she is also facing significant financial hardship. With no clear return-to-work date and an uncertain road ahead, bills continue to pile up. Caresse is working to provide for her three children while managing rent, utilities, everyday expenses, and growing medical costs.

We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden on Caresse and her family so she can focus on healing and spending precious time with her children. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Caresse and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time. ❤️
