I never imagined I would be writing something like this for my daughter.

My daughter is a post-doctoral psychologist who has dedicated years of her life to helping others through mental health work, volunteer service, advocacy, and community support. Her professional work and community involvement have led to public recognition within her field, but at her core she has always been a deeply private, gentle, and thoughtful person.

Outside of work, she would much rather spend quiet time at home with her cats, reading books, studying languages, and living a peaceful life than seeking attention or recognition. 

She also lives with significant medical challenges, including complete hearing loss in one ear following tumor removal surgery, as well as ongoing mobility limitations related to a serious prior leg injury.

She is currently facing an active legal process in Portland. Out of respect for the court process, we are not discussing details publicly at this time.

As her mother, I am trying to help her secure experienced legal representation and manage the growing financial burden associated with attorney fees, court proceedings, and evidence review. My hope is simply that she receives fair representation and the opportunity to move through this process responsibly and with dignity.

The legal process moves quickly, and raising funds early will help ensure she has the support and representation needed during the critical early stages of her case.
