Hello friend, family and community. My name is Dustin, I am needing your help. I work part-time at UPS and for the last two years have been searching for a second job. In February of 2024 for the second time in my life, I became homeless. from February to November I lived in my car until the engine blew up on me. In November I got lucky and was able to get into a shelter. I lived at the shelter until February of 2025 when I got lucky again. A coworker allowed me to move into her house. When I moved in it was difficult because I was on disability with arthritis in my lower back. I recovered and went back to work. Without a car it was hard, I was going 40 miles round trip with no transportation. A third time I got lucky with my sister paying for an ebike. My four main goals is 1). Never end up back on the street. I’ve had to many people yell and scream, “get a job, screw you, lazy ass, etc” I’ve worked hard to get off the street. 2). The time I was living in my car, I could not afford insurance and received a citation. In order to pay it off it ineed to pay $338. have an active license will help in my job search and some jobs require an active license. 3). Upgrade my ebike to a dual battery system, which will increase the e-bikes range. As of now it can only go about 25 miles and leaves the battery drained. It takes about 6 hours to charge the battery and makes it difficult to search for and go to interviews. To upgrade the bike to a dual system I ask for $160.36. 4). In march i went to the dentist and was told I needed all teeth pulled and dentures put in. As of now I’m down to my last 8 teeth. The total cost for the dentist is $71,000 and with insurance my out of pocket is $10,323. I really need your help, the communities help.
