Earlier this month, “Duke 2x," the name he is known by in the neighborhood, passed away. He was only in his 30's, much too young to leave this life.
He has been a long time here in our neighborhood yet with no permanent address and with no family or next of kin that can be located.
Our desire is to raise the $700 to cover a dignified handling of his body by way of cremation. A memorial time will be held at The Melvin Theater Community Center on Chippewa.
