Last weekend, our main underground water line suffered a catastrophic burst right beneath the floorboards of our home on Spindletop Lane. Within hours, the lower level was flooded with three inches of water, destroying our drywall, insulation, and floors.

Our home insurance adjusters just left and denied our claim under a 'wear and tear exclusion' because the pipes were original to the building. Right now, toxic mold is starting to spread, and we have no clean running water. The quotes for professional water mitigation, pipe replacement, and rebuilding the walls total $7,800.
