À propos de cette collecte de fonds

My mother inlaw (Lynda, 79 years young) lived in California, for over 25 years, while my wife and I, along with our kids and granbabies, live Indiana.

Every other year, we plan, pay, and fly her out for a 2-3 week visit. She loved to travel and seeing her daughter, grandkids, and great grandkids was her greatest enjoyment.

This year, Lynda was persistent that she wanted to be here for Mother's Day and My wife's birthday (3 days later). Tickets were bought and she was on her way.

What Lynda failed to do was tell us how much her health had been soaring downhill.  Although we were happy to be all together and make memories, her health was a big concern, the whole time.

When she flew back to her home, the flight had taken its toll and she was taking to the hospital.  On June 9th, my wife said a very tearful goodbye via a video chat program.

As per every family, people poured out of the woodwork, wanting this and that. Tons of sorry to hear about your loss but no true help.

I am a disabled combat veteran, so we have limited funds. Plus, we are raising our two youngest children (8 and 9). But we managed to get a small loan to pay for her expenses, pay some back taxes, and a few other things so that the house wasn't lost….$4000 +.

Now, we are stretched beyond our means, and bills are piling up, but the situation called for it.  However, my wife HAS to go to California to settle her house and pack what she wants (very little) and donate anything that we can.

At this point, we are down to zero money. No one willing to help us. We are just trying to give my wife closer, seeing her stressing over this and the loss of her mother, is beyond my capabilities. We need help with travel expenses and any of her household bills.

Please can anyone help us??

Thank you for listening to a small piece of our story.
