We let family stay in my house while we were traveling to Florida and back. We knew it wasn't going to be 100% perfect but we did not expect the mess we were left with when we finally were able to get them out of the house.  

Almost every room had literal trash and whatnot thrown around the place.  There were dirty dishes piled in the sink and gallons of milk spoiling out on the counters, along with other food items gathering flies and other animals. 

We had put multiple hours and money into the house prior to leaving including two brand new bathrooms. They were basically destroyed, needing lots of work to get them back up to where they were before we left. Floors need to be redone, electrical, caulking, toilet in one of them, cleaning (omg the cleaning, yuck) and new floors. Electrical needs to be checked throughout the house because they took it upon themslves to just change things out that they shouldn't have been touching, like making a hardwired smoke detector into a plug. WHAT!!??!! Then there are other plugs we have found that they changed out where there has been arcing, that could have caused a fire and ultimately burnt the house down.  They did this all with 1. No knowledge on our part and 2. Without our permission.

They also disconnected the propane tanks from the house and in turn connected BBQ tanks (20# tanks) to the house and used it that way.  So that may have messed up the brand new On-Demand Hot Water Tank we installed prior to leaving.

But the biggest issue we have going on is the water.  Somehow they screwed up our well and pressure tank while here.  We have no pressure in the house, the tank holds no pressure and the well pump continuously runs because of it.  It will cost us $8k just to fix that.  

We've handled everything else pretty well, and yes we keep finding little things here and there, like how they removed the insulation from behind the kitchen sink and you can see through to the outside of the house.  (Insert why meme here.) But the water thing was basically the last straw and no we can't take them to court because it would be like taking a horse to water and expecting them to drink rather than messing around with it and laughing.

I don't like asking for anything, I'm tempted not to put this up because I feel like it's asking for a handout but being as I am being  literally screwed and I have no where else to turn. I'm showing all my hands right now.  <3
