Hello! My name is Ashton. I am 34 years old and on May 30th, I had a heart attack. I am raising funding to help with medical bills.

Little history, I have type 2 diabetes since 19 years old. I have struggled with management, doctors, medications, and insurance barriers that whole time. However, I have new doctors including a new endocrinologist who helped me get on a better track! With his plan, my updated medications, and dedication I lost 20 lbs in 2 months! Fate, and genetics, decided it was time for my young self to feel chest pains. By listening to my body and health training I got help early, which did increase my chances of less heart damage/death. I am grateful for the medical team helping me through this, they are not in charge of insurance and medical costs. 

So, I am seeking help from kind strangers to help me with medical bills as I navigate my new circumstances. But…I am NOT just going to do nothing, I am going to pay it forward. 

I have the skill of crochet. My pledge is that every $200 I raise here AND monitize (if I can get enough followers) from social media, I will crochet 2 baby blankets OR a twin size Afghan blanket to be donated. They will go to Warm Up America, foster programs, or other organizations serving the communities. I love warmth and comfort and believe kids going through situations they did not put themselves in need warmth and comfort too. For me that comes in homemade items such as blankets.

If I receive more than needed, I will redirect the funds to the American Heart Association or a non-profit organization serving citizens with heart disease issues!

I appreciate the time you took reading this and know I am continuing my health journey. I'm not letting diabetes and coronary artery disease stop me from living.
