My name is Buddy, and I am a certified service dog for a U.S. Veteran who suffers from PTSD. My human depends on me every day for support, as I go everywhere with him to ensure he has the help he needs.

Last year, while we were walking in our neighborhood, I was attacked by an unleashed dog.  My injuries included several bites to my chest as well as a torn CCL in my left leg (similar to a human ACL).  I underwent surgery seven months ago. After three months of rehab, I was finally back to feeling like myself and able to work again.

Unfortunately, seven weeks ago, my other leg started to hurt. After several trips to the doctor, we learned that my right CCL is now torn as well. I require another costly surgery and follow-up care so that I can get back to work for my human.
