I am reaching out with a humble and sincere heart to ask for your support during one of the most difficult seasons of my life.

I am a double amputee who lost both of my legs following surgeries that became necessary after I developed gangrene while I was incarcerated. During a severe episode related to my schizophrenia, I was shouting in the street and needed medical attention. Instead of being taken to a hospital for treatment, I was taken to jail. While in the jail system, I experienced  serious maltreatment and did not receive the medical care I needed. My condition worsened, and I eventually developed gangrene in my legs. Sadly, the damage became so severe that both of my legs had to be amputated.

Losing both of my legs has completely changed my life. I have faced challenges that are difficult to describe, both physically and emotionally. Things that many people may take for granted—having a safe place to sleep, getting food, having clean clothes, and managing everyday life—have become major challenges for me.

Despite everything I have been through, I am still holding on to hope and faith. I am trying to rebuild my life, regain stability, and find a safe and secure place that I can call home. I believe that my life still has purpose, and I am doing everything I can to move forward one day at a time.

At this time, I am asking for financial assistance to help me secure housing and provide for my basic needs, including food, clothing, transportation, and other necessities. No amount is too small. Every donation, regardless of the amount, can make a meaningful difference in my life. Even a small contribution can help provide a meal, a piece of clothing, transportation, or help bring me one step closer to having a safe place to live.
