~Equine & Wilderness therapy at MoonDog Ranch~

After years of dreaming, working and planning, we're finally ready to launch our equine therapy non-profit on our new land in Crestone, Colorado. Here we have created a sanctuary where at-risk kids can heal through their connection with horses.

We've already accomplished so much. We've  secured our 501c3 nonprofit status, purchased the perfect land, bought and trained our horses for equine therapy, bought the outbuildings, and set up our infrastructure. We have also begun programming with the Alamosa Boys and Girls Club and with our partners at the Santee and Yankton Sioux Reservation in Nebraska.

But now we're at a critical point where we need community support to make this vision come to fruition.

To get our equine therapy program up and running and to qualify for certain grants, we still need to:

 • Build a second shelter for our horses, 

• Finish up our arena, 

• Finish our solar set-up, 

• Bring in propane,

• Launch our website,

• Add to vet and farrier savings, 

• And stock enough hay for winter/spring 

These are the essential last pieces that will allow us to welcome the kids who need this programming the most. Every dollar helps us move closer to opening our doors and beginning this important work.

We believe in the power of horses and nature to transform young lives, and we're so grateful for anyone who wants to be part of making that happen.
