Help Mazy May Get Her Life-Saving Surgery

This special little angel came into my life on September 7th. Mazy May is a tiny Yorkie mix, just 10 weeks old and under three pounds, and from the moment she arrived she was pure joy. Little did I know she would soon need life-saving surgery to have the full, happy life she deserves.

Just days after coming home, Mazy had two seizures. Over the next week she stopped eating, lost her balance, and grew very sick. She was hospitalized at Willamette Animal Hospital in Corvallis, where her vets discovered the cause: a liver shunt, a blood vessel that bypasses her liver so toxins build up in her body and affect her brain.

The good news is that this can be fixed. With surgery, her vets expect her neurological symptoms to resolve, giving her the chance to run, play, and grow up like any other puppy. Without it, her future is uncertain.
