Pedro Flores was diagnosed with leukemia, and after his most recent hospitalization, his doctors gave us the heartbreaking news that there are no further treatments they can offer. He is now receiving hospice care. Pedro is still holding on and fighting with everything he has, but our family is facing a reality we never imagined we would have to prepare for.
Throughout this journey, the medical expenses have already been overwhelming. Now, as we prepare for what lies ahead, we are also facing the growing costs of hospice care, funeral and burial arrangements, and other end-of-life expenses. These are costs our family simply cannot manage on our own.
Pedro has fought incredibly hard throughout this journey, and more than anything, we want to make sure he is surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity. When the time comes, we want to give him the farewell he deserves without our family having to choose between being there for him and worrying about how we will afford everything.
