Hello everyone, my name is Erin Moore and I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Lupus/Myositis Overlap Syndrome. My life has been turned upside down so quickly. I am a single mom and had to cut down my hours at work due to severe muscle inflammation and breakdown. My legs feel so heavy I am struggling to walk upstairs or stand up from a chair. Y’all I have an apartment with me and my son and I have missed so much work due tk the severe eye swelling that makes it hard to keep my eyes open. Between the muscle breakdown, severe joint pain and swollen and painful eyes, I am not gonna make my rent and I am gonna lose my apartment. Please, whatever you can do. I am starting immunosuppressives this upcoming week and hopefully I get some relief. I would never ask for help unless I was desperate. I have so many specialist appointments, copays and prescription costs and I am sitting here like do I pay my rent and allow my body to crumble? Choosing between your health and your rent is so frustrating. Thank you for listening to me and I am so grateful for your help of any kind.
