  • Gratitude for all of you!

I want to thank all of you for helping me safely get to my numerous doctors appointments and pharmacy trips. I've had 7 appointments this month so far (2 were virtual but I had to make a trip to the pharmacy for both of these appointments on top of the IRL appointments) Gas has been going quickly - I still have a little left to get me to the ENT (ear nose and throat doctor), another blood draw and 1 more pharmacy trip this month.
I'm extremely grateful to have reached the 1550 goal! I didn't expect to need to raise it after that, but I left this fundraiser up just in case unexpected events occur - the main thing being needing gas to get to the next appointments. I had more visits than I expected this month - next month I have 2 Sonora appointments and one San Francisco to see the Autoimmune dermatologist, Another SF appointment in July to follow up with my Rheumatologist and a follow up in Sonora with my Endocrinologist, Sonora appointment in August (pharmacy trips as well by that time), and in September another Sonora appointment to check behind my eyes in Ophthalmology dept to make sure the Lupus medication is not effecting me in a negative way. I'm sorry for all of this detail, I just don't feel comfortable asking for help and not letting people know exactly where the help is going. There is no immediate emergency to raise these funds right away, I'm just thinking ahead for the upcoming month especially - this month has almost wiped me clean of gas funds and sincerely appreciate all the help that's been given and any more help to come. Take care everyone.

À propos de cette collecte de fonds

It's very easy for me to ask others to help people I care about - but when it comes to asking for help for myself, I have an incredibly difficult time. This is one of those incredibly difficult times.

The past coupled of months, I've been dealing with some health issues, and when I say dealing, I mean doing everything I can do get the proper care I need to move forward with treatments and trying my very best to remain calm and cool -headed.

Part of this has involved alot of recent doctor appointments and quite a few more appointments in the near future.
The tires of my car are in pretty dangerous shape (the tread on the tires especially on passenger front side is almost bald), I need an alignment and an oil change.

I live in Mariposa County. My Primary Care Doctor, Endocrinologist, Blood lab, MRI scans (which are current again after a nice long hiatus) and pharmacy are in Sonora CA . I see my Primary care doc at least once a month (since a new auto-immune condition diagnosis) My Endocrinologist every 3 months, Blood draws are fairly often as of recent (if not once a month, every other month) and I have to go to the pharmacy 2-3 sometimes 4 times a month for 11 different medications, its a pain in the butt no matter how much I try to line up picking these medications up.

In the past month, my primary care doctor has referred me to UCSF (San Francisco) - My care provider list has extended to a Rheumatologist, an Ophthalmologist, an Optometrist a Dermatologist, and an Auto-Immune Dermatologist. (My health insurance was extremely limited on locations I could travel to for these specialists, so unfortunately local was out of the question for us)

Traveling to Sonora and San Francisco is going to be a challenge. And my car is not up to par for this. My boyfriend, dad, step-mom, aunt, uncle and cousin are doing everything they can to help me. My dad lives in KY and was able to get me to the first Rheumatologist appointment. (My next appointment with the Rheumatologist will thankfully be over video call but that may not always be the case) My Aunt and cousin were able to take me to the derm specialist earlier this week.

Next week I have to go back to SF to see the Ophthalmologist. I may be able to afford an oil change, but that's relying on my Twitch payout coming through a couple of days before my appointment (which is on the 13th) I have an appointment with my primary care at the end of the month as well in Sonora. Next Month 2 in Sonora - and it just keeps going on.

I'm hoping to start a security fund so I can get my car feeling safe with new tires, an alignment, and oil change and be able to afford gas for these next upcoming appointments. Anything will sincerely help, I appreciate so much all the emotional support provided already. Thank you for being kind and thank you for taking the time to read this. If you aren't able to help, sharing would also be very helpful.
