I never imagined I would be in a position where I have to ask for help like this, but today I’m reaching out because my daughters and I need safety, peace, and a fresh start.
Domestic violence has touched our lives in a way I never expected—within our own family, from someone we should have been able to trust. My oldest daughter has already endured physical abuse in the past from someone she loved deeply while growing up. At that time, I had moved to the United States and, with a heavy heart, had to leave her behind with her father.
In 2021, I was finally able to bring her here with me. Since then, we’ve been rebuilding, healing, and trying to create a life filled with love, stability, and faith. I believed that we were finally safe.
But recently, my heart broke all over again. My own mother—someone I hoped would provide love and protection—slapped my daughter across the face. In that moment, everything changed. The pain of seeing my child hurt, especially by family, is something I can’t fully put into words.
As someone who also suffered abuse as a child, this situation has reopened deep wounds. It has made me realize that I must break this cycle once and for all. No child of mine should ever experience what I did—or what my daughter has now experienced more than once.
We need to leave this environment and find a safe place to call home—a place where respect, love, and faith are the foundation. A place where my daughter can finally feel secure and begin to heal without fear.
We are asking for help to cover moving expenses, deposits, and the costs of starting over in a new home. Any support, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to safety and peace.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing—your support means more than you know.
With gratitude and hope,
Isabel
