My name is Melissa Rodriguez, and I am writing this with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my sister’s family.

Last night, in the middle of the night (May 1st, 2026), my sister Courtney’s house tragically caught fire. In just a matter of hours, decades of memories, sentimental items, and everything they owned were reduced to nothing.

Thankfully, the most important thing is that everyone made it out safely: Courtney, her husband Dick, their two children, and even their family cat are all okay. However, they are now facing the overwhelming and painful process of starting over from scratch.

A Family Already Facing Hardships
This tragedy hits even harder because of the challenges they were already battling. For the past three years, Courtney has been the sole breadwinner for the family. Her husband, Dick, has been unable to work due to ongoing and serious health complications.

They were already stretched thin, and now, being displaced and losing their home has put them in an impossible situation.

We are raising funds to help the Stouts cover their immediate needs while they are displaced:
Emergency Housing: Deposits and rent for a temporary place to stay.
Basic Necessities: Clothing, shoes, and school supplies for the two children.
Daily Essentials: Food, toiletries, and care for their cat.
Rebuilding: Starting the long journey of replacing what was lost in the fire.
