Hello, my name is Alyssa, and I am a single mother to an amazing 14-year-old son who is preparing to start high school.

This year has been one of the hardest seasons of our lives. I experienced a pregnancy loss, and while trying to rebuild financially, I suffered a foot injury that caused me to miss work. Although I am currently employed, the lost income made it difficult to keep up with my rent, and I am now at risk of losing our home.

I have been actively working with rental assistance programs, calling 311, and reaching out to local organizations for help. I am also building my braiding business and doing everything I can to increase my income. My goal is not to rely on others long-term—I simply need help getting through this temporary setback.

The funds raised will go directly toward rent and other essential housing expenses so my son and I can remain in our home while I get caught up financially.

I need this assistance as soon as possible to avoid falling further behind on rent. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help relieve some of the financial burden and allow me to focus on continuing to work and provide for my son.
