My name is Donna, and I'm 74 years old. I live here in Lyman, Mississippi, and I'm reaching out because I'm facing one of the most difficult times in my life.

A while back, I suffered a terrible accident that left me with two broken femur bones above my knee. For those who might not know, the femur is the strongest bone in the human body, and breaking it is serious. Breaking both femurs above the knee has been absolutely life-altering for me.

On top of everything else, I'm blind. So you can imagine how challenging this situation has become. I've lost my independence in ways I never thought I would. Simple things that most people take for granted, like getting around my home or caring for myself, have become nearly impossible.

The medical bills and care expenses have piled up quickly. I need help with ongoing medical treatment, recovery support, and the equipment and assistance I require to manage my daily life right now. The costs are mounting, and I'm coming up short. I don't have the resources to cover everything on my own.

I'm not asking for this lightly. I've worked hard my entire life, and I never imagined I'd be in a position where I'd need to ask for help. But I'm in a desperate situation, and I need support from people who understand what it means to struggle and who are willing to show compassion.
