  • Rehab it is!

Lexi has officially been placed at Spaulding Rehab with a full schedule. Her left leg remains paralyzed and she’s starting to realize the reality of things. 😢. Though she is back to verbally being with us and recognizing who we are, the time has come to start considering what is now the possible outcome…. & make the home handicap accessible which is going to cost a fortune for a home built in 1900. We ask that you share this, and help reach the goal at minimum while continuing to pray and donate as you can. Thank you!

    Rehab it is!

About this fundraiser

On Friday January 2nd, 2026 at approximately 7:15 PM, after Alexis and her stepsister Juliana had safely dropped a friend off, their lives changed forever. While driving on Water Street in Lawrence, MA, a man speeding through a residential neighborhood violently T-boned their vehicle totaling both his car, hers, taking out a fire hydrant, and hitting a speedometer himself. Both girls were critically injured, but Juliana is now stable.

Alexis however is just 19 years old. She was airlifted immediately to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she is currently fighting for her life. She has suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, a broken pelvis, hips, all twelve left ribs fractured, and required emergency surgery in which part of her skull was removed to relieve swelling. At this time, Alexis remains intubated and is not fully conscious. She is not showing signs of using her left side but we hope that is due to brain swelling. As her sedation medications wear off, she has shown signs of strength and fight!  Even attempting to pull at life-supporting devices requiring doctors to keep her sedated for her safety.

At this moment, there are no clear answers about when or if Alexis will fully recover. What we do know is who she is: one of seven sisters, the baby of her immediate family, an auntie to three little girls with a nephew on the way, a niece, a cousin, a friend to so many and deeply loved by her mother Dana, who so many in the community know. Alexis is a beautiful soul, full of life, kindness, love and pure joy!  Her absence is felt deeply by everyone who knows her.

The medical care Alexis needs now, and will continue to need in the future, including extensive rehabilitation, will be overwhelming. Meanwhile, her mother and stepfather have barely slept for days, splitting time between two separate Boston hospitals as both of their daughters recover from this horrific accident.

This fundraiser is to help lift even a small portion of the financial burden off this family so they can focus entirely on what matters most: being there for Alexis and Juliana, and giving Alexis the very best chance at recovery. Any amount — even a single dollar — is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing and keeping Alexis and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for supporting Alexis as she fights with everything she has to come back to us - fundraiser made by Auntie Amanda - beneficiary to be Dana.
