About this fundraiser

We sincerely appreciate that you are taking your time to read Amanda's story.  This photo of Amanda and Diego was taken 2 weeks before the horrific trail ride accident.  For those of you who don't know Amanda; she is the MOST tender-hearted, kind, genuine, supportive, caring, inspirational, understanding, helpful, and patient woman we know!  To top that, she's an ARMY veteran.  She was inspired to create of the North Texas Everything Horses and Equine group page with the primary goal of uniting the North Texas equine community.  She is a devoted wife, mother and friend.

On Saturday, February 8th, 2025, Amanda was enjoying the trails with her 10 year old daughter and friend when Diego got spooked by a squirrel and bucked her off.  Amanda lost consciousness and her daughter was petrified that she was dead. Thankfully, Amanda regained consciousness while in the ambulance.  She was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with a punctured lung, pneumothorax, many broken ribs and multiple vertebral fractures.  Now she has been re-admitted to the hospital with pneumonia as well.

Amanda was supposed to start a new job on Monday as a home health nurse, however that's on hold until she's able to make a full recovery.   Due to unfortunate circumstances, she hasn't had health insurance since Jan. 1, 2025.

Amanda and her family are gracious, humble and kind.  Please consider blessing them with a donation to help cover the medical expenses along with residential bills etc.

Thank you and God Bless
