My friend and her seven-year-old son are facing an incredibly difficult time. After bravely escaping an abusive relationship, she made the hard decision to leave everything behind to protect herself and her child. While staying at a women's shelter, Child Protective Services became involved and, for now, her son is in their custody until she can secure a safe and stable place to live.   This fundraiser is to help my friend get back on her feet. She is working tirelessly to create a new life for herself and her son, but the challenges are overwhelming. The funds raised here will go directly to her so she can secure an apartment and reliable transportation—two essential steps toward reuniting with her son and rebuilding their lives in safety.   Any support you can give will make a real difference.
