In Loving Memory of Andrew Jeffrey Stenger

August 24, 1951 – January 4, 2025

It is with a profound sense of loss that we share the news of Andrew Jeffrey Stenger's passing on January 4, 2025, at the age of 73. Surrounded by his beloved daughters, Meghan and Kim, Andrew left us peacefully, leaving behind cherished memories and an indelible mark on our hearts.

Born on August 24, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, Andrew was the cherished son of Dr. John M. and Melvena Stenger. He was a proud graduate of John Adams High School and went on to earn a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. After graduation, he carved out a successful career in media advertising and made Kentucky his home for many decades.

Andrew’s legacy lives on through his daughters, Meghan (Christopher) Brown and Kimberly (Christopher) Lynn, along with his adored grandchildren, Sadie Lynn, Chance Lynn, and James Brown. He is also survived by his brother, John M. (Judy) Stenger; sister, Maribeth (David) Brown; sister-in-law, Joy (M. Scott) Stenger; and a wonderful array of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dr. John M. and Melvena Stenger; his brother, M. Scott Stenger; and his son-in-law, Christopher (Meghan) Brown.

Known affectionately as AJ, Andrew will be fondly remembered for his playful sense of humor, charismatic charm, and unwavering determination. An avid golfer, he found joy on the greens, and his passion for sports was evident as he cheered on Notre Dame football and Kentucky basketball. He also had a deep love for Keeneland, where many cherished memories were made.

Andrew’s spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

To celebrate Andrew’s remarkable life, the family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date, and they appreciate your patience as arrangements are made.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to a legacy fund in Andrew’s honor. The fund will be dedicated to celebrating his life in meaningful and impactful ways.
