My dad, after being recently diagnosed with leukemia, and after battling congestive heart failure for quite awhile, passed away on October 16th, and it will cost more than our family can afford to get him cremated, have death certificates sent to us, and for me to receive his remains and his personal effects he had with him at the hospital.
I talked to him and an ER doctor at St. Mark's on the 15th, the plan was for him to be admitted and for palliative care/hospice to be consulted the next day. He fell asleep that night and was pronounced deceased the next day at 8:33 am.
