Hi, my name is Rafael and I’m a U.S. Army veteran with 10 years of service. I’ve always worked hard to take care of my family and do what’s right — but right now, I’m going through one of the toughest times in my life, and I need help.

Not long ago, I had major surgery to remove part of my liver and my gallbladder. While the VA has thankfully covered the medical costs, the surgery and recovery have taken me completely out of work — and now I’m struggling to keep up with basic living expenses.

I have a wife and two beautiful daughters who depend on me. Being unable to work and provide for them has been incredibly difficult, both financially and emotionally. We’re doing everything we can, but we’re running out of options.

This fundraiser will help me:

Cover rent, groceries, utilities, and daily essentials that I am behind on 

Support my wife and daughters while I recover

Pay for transportation to follow-up medical appointments
