I met Juan at Home Depot in LA when we hired him to help us move a couple years ago. Since then we've kept in touch and it's always been clear what a kind, generous, and loving husband and father he is. He works extremely hard 6 days a week to provide for his wife and 3 small children who live in Guatemala. He takes pride in working hard to put food on his family's table, and so they can have what they need to go to school.
Juan shares a studio in Koreatown with 3 other Home Depot labor workers from Guatemala and who are responsible not only for paying Los Angeles rent, but also for providing for their families who rely on them back home in Guatemala.
Since the ICE raids started last week, Juan and his 3 fwllow workers, are no longer able to safely leave their homes to work, and are in a state of crisis for how they are going to survive. Without the ability to earn income or secure their own safety, we ask for any help you may be able to offer to help them an especially vulnerable time. Anything helps and I will share updates as they become available. Thank you so much for any and all support.
