About this fundraiser

Hello, my name is Faye Newsome, and I’m a 75-year-old Navy widow, survivor, and woman of faith. I never imagined I’d be in a position like this, but I know that when we’re weak, God is strong—and that He works through the kindness of others.

My life was stable once. I had a six-figure career, my own home, and transportation. But then, I fell down a flight of concrete stairs. I was left debilitated—and while trying to recover, I suffered a widow maker heart attack, one most don’t survive. But God spared me.

I lost everything—my home, my career, my car—but not my faith. In my darkest days, God gave me Mikey, my emotional support dog. He has been my comfort through PTSD, anxiety, and deep depression. Mikey is more than a dog—he is God’s gift to me in my suffering.

Now, I face losing him too.

The senior community I moved into is forcing me to remove Mikey because of complaints I was never told about. I was given 14 days, and now only 8 remain.

I will not abandon him. I will trust that the same God who spared my life will make a way again—through people like you.

I am asking for $20,000 to:

  • Find a pet-friendly home
  • Pay for moving expenses
  • Purchase a reliable used car
  • Cover basic furnishings and living costs

Your prayers and donations mean more than you know. If you can’t give, please share and pray with me for provision, favor, and peace. I trust that God has a plan for me and Mikey—and that this storm will pass.

Thank you, and may God bless you abundantly.

With love and hope,
Faye Newsome
A grateful survivor, Navy widow, and child of God
