  • 📣 Blade’s Battle Update

Yesterday, Blade had his port placed, and we’re happy to share that the procedure went smoothly with no complications. He’s feeling sore (as expected), but overall recovering well from the placement.

Today, we met with the team at Children’s Hospital, and we’ll be meeting with the surgeon next week. Based on what we know so far, it looks like Blade will need at least a partial amputation of his ear to fully remove the remaining tumor and achieve clear margins. This was incredibly tough news to process, but he’s handling it with courage and grace — as always.

Once surgery is complete, he’ll begin chemotherapy, and he’ll be having additional tests soon to help guide his treatment plan. We’ll share more details as we learn them.

Please keep the love, prayers, and positive energy coming — it means everything to us. 💛

    📣 Blade’s Battle Update

About this fundraiser

We’re rallying around an incredible young man — a son, a brother, a friend, a boyfriend and a soldier — who is now facing the biggest fight of his life.

At just 24 years old, Blade has been diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that appeared unexpectedly on his outer ear. What was initially believed to be a common sports-related injury turned out to be a tumor. Although surgery was performed, doctors were unable to remove it completely, and he is now preparing to undergo 6 to 12 months of intensive chemotherapy — with the possibility of radiation and further surgery still on the table.

Blade is a proud U.S. Army veteran. He began his service at Fort Jackson, was later stationed at Fort Lewis, and completed a deployment in Kuwait. He works as a mechanic, pouring his heart into everything he does, and brings an exhaustive passion for life, learning, and animals. Those who know him know how fiercely loyal, funny, and full of light he is.

Despite the shock of this diagnosis, Blade remains hopeful. One of his biggest dreams is to start a family of his own — a dream now complicated by the toll cancer treatment can take on fertility. He is working with a fertility specialist to preserve his future, but these options — along with treatment, travel, and recovery time — come with enormous emotional and financial costs.

We are asking for your help. Any donation, no matter the size, will go toward:

  • Medical treatment and chemo-related costs
  • Travel and transportation to appointments
  • Fertility preservation
  • Time away from work
  • Support during recovery

Your love, prayers, and support mean more than we can ever express. If you can give, please do — and if not, sharing this page is another powerful way to help. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for walking beside Blade in this journey.
